Why Transfer Progress?

GTA 5 is a very long and versatile game. If you have painstakingly collected all the achievements, developed your character step by step, and opened Easter eggs, you are unlikely to want to lose it all. To avoid starting the game again when buying a new device, you can transfer your progress to this device and continue to enjoy the walkthrough from the saved place. Uploading Progress to Cloud Servers

Transferring progress from PS4 and Xbox One to new consoles is made through convenient cloud servers from Rockstar. It usually doesn’t take long; you will receive a notification when the download is completed. You will then have 90 days to move your data to the new device.

Now you need to move on to the second step and upload data from the Rockstar servers to your new device. Everything is as simple as saving the files. Load the game up on your new console and go to the “Story” tab. Here you will be prompted to “Download Save Game Data.” Agree to it and wait for the transfer process to complete. As with the first step, the download time may vary depending on the availability of the servers and the speed of your connection. Keep in mind that such a migration tool is available to you only once. Use it within 90 days after moving data to the servers so as not to lose your progress.
