Nintendo Switch Online Announced Exclusive Option for Subscribers

Online gaming service Nintendo has made an exclusive update for its subscribers. It is timed to coincide with The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

It is about branded profile icons. In September, players could already use such icons. The developers created them, following the console's original design, and the new icons will have images of the main characters of the games.

The images, which players will see in October, will feature characters from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. A fresh avatar featuring a new character will be available each following week. The first series of unique designs will be dedicated to Revali, followed by Mytha, Daruk, and Urbosa. 

You can buy the icons for 10 Platinum Points and the backgrounds and different frames for 5 Platinum Points. These points are straightforward to get as you play. It is unlikely that you won't have issues at all buying a badge. But even if you don't have enough points, you can easily earn them in the Nintendo Switch Online tab. 

You can already see the design of the new icons on Twitter. Nintendo has published a summary of the option and demonstrated the templates. 

We want to remind you that The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild was released in 2017 and has remained popular for five years. According to the game plot, the leading players team up with Zelda and Link to confront the Calamity of Ganon. As a result of the battle, they are killed. The main action of the game starts 100 years after the Confrontation. The Spirits of Champions helps the leading player to accomplish their mission. These characters have become very popular and appeared in other games. Players will likely want to buy badges with their favorite characters given their great fame.
