New Nintendo Switch Logo Codenamed ‘NX’ Leaked Online

If we go back in time when gamers could only dream about the Nintendo Switch, no one could have imagined that it would become so popular that a circulation of 114 million electric copies would be sold. And at that time, and it was 2016, the Nintendo Switch was known to a wide audience as NX.

Codenames are common for game consoles. For example, Nintendo used 'Revolution' for the Wii, 'Dolphin' for the GameCube', and the name 'Project Cafe' was used for the Wii U console. And recently, thanks to a post by Eurogamer, it became known that the company is returning to its roots with the "NX" logo.

According to this information, the new logo is a large "NX" inside a circle, which also contains a small dot. The letters themselves are white, and the background is blue. Previously, the logo was used as an animation during loading. The logo was found in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. As for the prototype video for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, it's online.

The new logo is a port and looks polished, but it is clear that it is still in development and needs some work. For those who are interested in this topic, there will be interesting material on YouTube from October 18th, 2006, which shows the process of assembling a logo that is running on "real hardware". Maybe someday Nintendo will take care of the copyright and the video will become unavailable.

In view of the fact that the company has not yet officially presented a new logo, there is no answer to the question of why such letters were chosen. However, its very appearance is already in some way a historical moment.

Have you already seen the new logo for Nintendo Switch? How soon do you think the company will officially introduce it? Please share your thoughts below.
